Our Journey
The story of how we're making a difference, one computer at a time.

The Idea
It all started with a simple idea. We noticed how many perfectly good computers were being discarded while many in our community lacked access to technology. This sparked the mission that would become Computers for Cause.

First Major Partnership
Our outreach to tech companies led to our first major partnership with Sycamore International, who generously donated 30 Chromebooks and chargers. This donation became the foundation of our mission to bridge the digital divide.

Expanding Our Impact
We began reaching out to homeless shelters and underfunded organizations. Our partnership with Good Shepherd Alliance, led by Nancy Jacob, marked a significant milestone. We successfully installed a computer lab with 8 laptops, internet access, and proper furniture, impacting over 35 residents.

Growing Community Support
Our mission gained recognition through the district newsletter and caught the attention of local representatives, including Ashburn District Supervisor Michael R. Turner. We also connected with Debra Rapone from Fauquier County Shelter, expanding our reach to new communities.

Looking Forward
Today, we're working on expanding our reach beyond our local community. With new partnerships forming and our volunteer base growing, we're excited to help bridge the digital divide for even more people in need.
